Flowers, Spring and Easter

As you might can tell by now, I love bright colors and flowers! Not only do I use them in my quilts, but I use them to decorate our home. Now it may be that since I'm not a gardener, I can 'grow fabric flowers' much easier than I can grow the flowers you plant in the dirt. Thus, here are my latest flowers.
When spring is getting close, I am so ready for the warm temperatures and gorgeous flowers all around. Just this past week the cherry blossoms were in full bloom here in the Atlanta area, the dogwoods are blooming, azaleas, etc and it is beautiful! So, I have my floral tablecloth finished and ready to bloom at our kitchen table, along with the wallhanging made a couple of years ago. And, yes, we're actually going to use it as our tablecloth, eat there and not worry about spills. After all, it is only fabric and can be washed again and again.
Here is a close-up of the fabrics which were designed by Valori Wells a few years ago. The pattern I used is a Turning Twenty Again, 9 blocks in the center, then I added borders. Very simple and quick.
Above are the two quilts together. The flowers go together after all, don't they? Wasn't sure until I put it on the table.

So, happy spring and Happy Easter! Everything is bursting forth with new life, much like the new life our Savior, Jesus Christ, gives us when we accept Him into our lives. He gave his life on the cross, died for our sins and gives us everlasting life when we believe in Him.
