This is what is on my design wall today. Lots of Kaffe Stripes - some collected in the nineties from when he first made them. I bought a bundle at a quilt show we had in North Augusta and never seemed to get around to using them. Others have been added in more recent times. Plus, there are some borders to go around this once I get it sewn. The quilt is called Arrow Feathers from Kaffe's book, Quilt Romance.
This photo is the center medallion of a quilt on my UFO list. I've had it folded neatly away for years, waiting to be quilted. It is called "Sky Blue Pink Quilt" and is from Kaffe Fassett's Caravan of Quilts book. Just waiting for the binding now. One of my favorite quilts - I love the busyness of it and all the unusual fabrics put together. Actually, I made it exactly as it was shown in the book so that was fun!

Flower Pots Updated
I have one more panel of the Flower Pots applique completed. I really am enjoying this quilt - such pretty fabrics and easy stitching for the most part.
Here are some really close-up views. Again, this pattern is by Kim McLean and can be purchased at Glorious Color along with all the wonderful Kaffe + fabrics.
I am now working on the border which are large circles and really easy stitching.

Quilt Group
Here is our small quilt group (except for Jane) when we went to the Watkinsville Quilt Show a couple of weeks ago. It was a fun outing! We just found a pretty quilt and stood in front of it - I do not know whose it was. From left to right in the picture are Judith, Wonda, Nancy and Gerry. Small groups are GREAT!

Sweet Home BOM
What was I thinking? As if I did not have any projects to work on, I signed up for a Block of the Month with Sweet Home Quilt Company in Conyers, GA. I'm always thinking about December that I want to make a Christmas quilt and of course it is too late for it by then so this year, I'm starting early! The pattern is Comfort and Joy, pictured above, by a local designer/s. They show two different colorways but the fabrics in the Sweet Home kit are the lighter and brighter.
Here are the fabrics for the first month, already cut in strips for starters (I liked that).
I uploaded my pictures wrong so above is the February kit - some log cabins, churn dashes and lots of half square triangles and one little square in a square block.
Here is the January kit - nine patches and flying geese - all sewn and squared up, but of course they won't be in this order! Now I am ready for the March packet. The rest is applique - will I do it by hand or machine? Hmmm, since I have Flower Pots going already by hand, this just may be machine...we'll see!
